Energy efficiency and cost savings in the medical sector
Energy efficiency and cost savings are two of the primary keys to optimizing the profitability of the design, production and manufacturing processes of medical devices and equipment.
In Costa Rica, this sector is extremely important for the generation of economic activity and employment, especially in free zones such as Coyol Free Zone, the leading park in exports of medical devices in the country, for over $2 billion a year, and which houses 8 of the top 30 medical device companies in the world.
The best choice for the medical device industry
Within this framework, AVOLTA Energy is the ideal company to work with for installation and maintenance of their photovoltaic projects, since we understand the language of medical device companies in terms of continuous improvement, high quality standards, strategic decision making and smart investments.

ICU MEDICAL, A SUCCESS STORY IN THE MEDICAL DEVICE INDUSTRY
At AVOLTA Energy we understand that medical device manufacturing plants require innovative technological solutions that meet the highest standards of technical excellence in the world.
For this reason, we were chosen by ICU Medical as its supplier and strategic ally for a 1.6 MW solar energy project that consisted of the installation of more than 4,000 Bloomberg Tier 1 JA solar panels and triphasic inverters of the highest quality German SMA .
Proven technical ability
The 1.6 megawatts of electricity generated by the solar panels is equivalent to the energy consumed by approximately 770 homes in Costa Rica.
In fact, the ICU Medical solar plant is the largest rooftop solar panel project in the country and was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Costa Rica.
This demonstrated, once again, that we are a consolidated company, we offer support for carrying out large-scale industrial, commercial and residential photovoltaic projects, and that we have the installed technical capacity to exceed the expectations of our most demanding clients in the medical sector
